KUCHING: Member of Parliament for Puncak Borneo, Willie Mongin has pledged to do his best to serve his constituency and urged the constituents to work together with him.

“I will help in all aspects and you can also seek the assistance of government agencies to assist you in organising your activities,” he added  in his short address when presenting outright grants to 14 organisation here yesterday. 

He advised the recipients to utilise the grants wisely for their activities and for the development of their respective villages.

Willie said that this year, he could not disburse much fund because he was only allocated RM500,000. But he would have more funds to disburse next year as each Member of Parliament would be allocated RM1 million.

He advised those in need of funds, including those who were sick and in need of financial assistance for their treatment and medication to submit their applications to him.

Willie said the government would give RM500 one-off financial assistance to sick people and students who wished to further their studies in universities.

“Those who are sick and in need of wheelchairs can also come to me for assistance,” he added.
