Rep: Sarawak-based parties more relevant than UMNO

KUCHING: “We need to convince the people on what are fighting for especially the MA63, as we are the Sarawak-based parties,” said Tupong Assemblyman, Fazzruddin Haji Abdul Rahman.

Asked on the information said that UMNO will enter Sarawak, he commented that UMNO is a peninsular based party.

“We need to explain to people our fight especially on MA63, because we are Sarawak based parties which are more relevant to the people,

“Our people can judge and make preferences on which party to support,” he said when speaking to reportersduring his Raya Open House at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, in Kuching yesterday.

He added, at the state level, the four coalition parties are focused on MA63 which is to ensure the people’s rights are well preserved.

“We will also ensure the state development to be based on our own initiatives and people will be able to judge on the more relevant party to support,” he said.

Also present during the Raya Open House were Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg, Batu Kitang Assemblyman, Lo Khere Chiang and others.
