LAWAS: Lawas MP Datuk Henry Sum Agong wants all drug abuse cases and other social issues to be reported to the authorities or to the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) representative’s service centre here immediately.

“This is because the state government under GPS is seriously looking at issues that can affect the moral values of teenagers in the state.

“GPS has always given priority to the education and skills training of the younger generation so that they can become future leaders of the state,” he said when officiating at the Awareness and Dangerous Drugs Abuse Advocacy Programme at the Trusan Community Hall here yesterday.

Henry also urged the people in Lawas District to provide good religious education to their children to prevent them from being influenced by the growing social problems.

He pointed out that the borderless world now offered plenty of avenues for the younger generation to interact extensively online.
