in organising and building their longhouse.

“This new 34-door longhouse has been built with assistance from the government. I am impressed by the way they (villagers) organised themselves and building this longhouse via the gotong royong concept.

“I understand that this longhouse is connected with 24-hour electricity supply through the rural electricity supply scheme (RES) and has clean water supply from the mountain in addition to the good road access which takes about 45 minutes by vehicle to Kapit,” he said.

Nanta advised the villagers that they should now seriously undertake economic activities by making full use of their lands by planting cash crops such oil palm, rubber and others to enhance their income.
