KUALA LUMPUR: Audi Malaysia on Monday announced the official appointment of Rimau International as the latest authorised dealer to represent the Audi brand in Malaysia.

Having begun operations from a temporary facility in Setia Alam since the fourth quarter of 2016, this newest dealership marks the ninth exclusive Audi retailer in Malaysia.

As a full service albeit interim dealership, Audi Setia Alam’s temporary showroom is also equipped with two service bays and a growing team of 15 sales and after sales consultants.

Sridheevan (Dave) Sivanantham, Director of Sales at Audi Malaysia shares, “We at Audi Malaysia are truly delighted to welcome Rimau International into the fold as our newest dealer partner. They bring with them a wealth of experience from Japan, where they also operate a number of Audi dealerships in Kyoto.

“It is my belief that their unparalleled attention to detail and quality, coupled with our commitment to increasing the depth and breadth of Audi’s product and service offerings in Malaysia will lead to a mutually beneficial partnership for both of our organisations in the near future.”

Yasuhiko Osada, Managing Director of Rimau International mentions, “Back in Japan, we have represented the Audi brand for over 25 years. We have seen the brand with the four rings take on a leading position in the premium automotive segment, and I am very happy that our partnership has been able to bear fruit outside of our home market.

“Audi is known around the world as a progressive and aspirational brand and we are looking forward to combining our Japanese omotenashi (hospitality) approach with German VorsprungdurchTechnik engineering to provide the definitive automotive retail and customer service experience in the Klang Valley.”

As the ninth official Audi sales outlet in Malaysia and the first from Rimau International, the upcoming Audi Setia Alam 4S centre will be a landmark 4-storey location, greeting motorists entering Setia Alam from the first quarter of 2018.

Once completed, this will be the largest Audi dealership in Malaysia, occupying an area of just over 100,000 sq ft, featuring a showroom floor with display capacity of up to 12 new cars, up to an additional 8 pre-owned cars at the Audi: approved plus section, a total of 20 service bays, as well as a premium reception area and lounge.

Substantial investment will also go towards ensuring that the service centre is fully equipped with the latest equipment and tools, as well as the necessary technical training for staff in order to guarantee customer satisfaction through top notch service.

In line with the official opening of Audi Setia Alam, this dynamic new dealership will be organising the Audi Setia Alam Bonanza Weekend from 12 – 14 May, showcasing all of the latest Audi A4 variants and the rest of Audi’s progressive range of vehicles, with fantastic promotions and exciting gifts.
