Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob revealed that the projects involved an allocation of RM1.06 billion.

“Out of the 81 projects, 9 have been completed while 32 are still ongoing,” he said during a press conference at Hilton Hotel here on Thursday.

Earlier on before the press conference, he attended a joint committee meeting between his ministry and the state government.

“The purpose of this joint committee is to plan together on projects that will be implemented in Sarawak.

“For us at the ministry level, we understand that the ones who really know the needs of the people at the grass-roots level are the state government.

“In terms of implementing and monitoring, we will also do it together so that if there is any problem, we can find a solution together,” he said, adding that the joint committee is made up of two, the high committee (‘jawatankuasa tertinggi’) and the working committee.
