KUCHING: The Lodge National and International School raised a total of RM26,015.20 during its Go-Bald Satellite Shave event held at the school yesterday.

20 staff and students of the private school shaved their heads in the spirit of supporting a good cause including its principal Matthew Yee and the Go-Bald Coordinator for Lodge School, Suzanna Adee, who is also a teacher of the school.

Notably, a 16-year-old student Natasha Fung raised the highest amount for the drive, amounting to RM9,050.

The funds will be donated to Sarawak Children Cancer Society (SCCS).

The drive is part of the school’s Open Day, an event to give back to the community as Lodge was founded as a community school.

Members of the public crowded the school and the Open Day serves to strengthen the inter-relationship between the community and the school.

Apart from the Go Bald event, other ongoing events include Blood Donation, Health Screening, 3-on-3 Basketball Competition, Taekwondo Showcase and many more.
