LIMBANG: A businessman suffered a losses amount ing t o RM48,000 after items left inside his parked car were stolen on Wednesday. He earlier left the car at an isolated area. Inside the car were jewellery and cash and these items were all stolen. According to Limbang Police chief Super intendent Mohd Bukhori Saffai, the victim claimed to suffer such losses as soon as he returned at 2pm to the spot where the car was parked.

The victim also claimed that the back screen of his car was broken by the thief. In the incident at 12.13pm the victim, 36, left his car at the roadside near to the entrance of the Old Prison area and took a ride on his friend’s car to Medamit.

“Among the items reported missing included a variety of jewellery, cash in various currencies worth RM30,000, bank account book and some ATM cards belonging to the victim,” Mohd Bukhori told the media. Police are still investigating the case and hope to catch the culprit or culprits. The case will be investigated under Section 379 of the Penal Code (stealing inside a car).
