KUCHING:The stretch along Jalan Rock,here will be temporarily closed to traffic on Dec 20 from 7pm to Dec 21 5am.
The closure is to enable workers to launch a concrete box girder for Timberland Overhead Bridge.
A statement from the Public Works Department advised road users to take note of the following traffic diversions:
•Traffic bound from Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho towards Mile 3, Batu Kawa and Hui Sing to be diverted to Jalan Permata.
• Traffic bound from Batu Kawa towards Mile 3 underpass to be diverted to Mile 3 roundabout.
• Partial closure of entrance and exit from or to Central Park Commercial Centre.
• Those planning to go towards Timberland Medical Centre are advised to take the inner ring road at Mile 3 roundabout as shown in the map attached.
• Those planning to go towards Central Park area are advised to use Aeon Mall traffic light junction at JalanTun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce.
“Road users heading toward Jalan Rock are advised to follow the temporary traffic flow as indicated on safety signboards. The road users are urged to plan their journey and avoid using the affected routes,” the statement said.
In case of bad weather or any unforeseen circumstances the road closure will be postponed to the following day.
