KUCHING: Jelajah Ramadan RTM Sarawak 2018, which started in Limbang on May 20 and ended in Kuching on June 3 has received good response from the sponsors and the local community.
Six locations where it was held were Kampung Pertiangan Limbang on May 20, followed by Bekenu, Miri, Kampung Baru Bintulu, Sibu on May 27, Sri Aman on June 2 and finally at MYDIN Petra Jaya, Kuching on Sunday.
“We received good response from the sponsors and the local community through this programme which involved RTM stations throughout the state such as LIMBANGfm, MIRIfm and SIBUfm,” Deputy Director of Broadcasting Sarawak, Faridah Sulong told the media during Jelajah Ramadan RTM Sarawak 2018 at Mydin Mall Petra Jaya here on Sunday.
Faridah added that the main objectives of the programme were to get RTM, especially the radio close to its listeners and also to give donations and contributions to the needy, single mothers and orphans. She revealed that it was a yearly programme held throughout the country.
The closing will be held in Kuala Lumpur. “At all the locations, between 500 and 800 packets of ‘bubur lambuk’ were distributed to members of the public,” said Faridah.
