KUCHING: The Society of Critically Sick Children (S.O.S Kids) received a donation of RM30,000 f rom the Wor l d Psoriasis Day Charity Run on November 5, 2017. The charity run was organised by the Depar tment of Dermatology, Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) under the auspices of the Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) Sarawak and supported by Revolution Run.

Through the run, the organisers aimed to raise public awareness on psoriasis, an immunemediated skin disease that resulted in chronic skin and other health issues. The society thanked each and every participant who attended, organised and assisted in making the charity run a success. First established in 2013, S.O.S Kids strives to help children, who are faced with or have survived, life threatening illnesses, and their families cope with their medical conditions and meet their medical needs in the long journey of recuperation and recovery.

In addition, S.O.S Kids also aims to enhance clinical expertise of caring for critically sick chi ldren among heal thcare workers through continuing medical educational activities.
