KUCHING: Pullman Kuching wants to help put Sarawak back on the international tourism map in the near future.
Pullman Kuching and Miri Waterfront cluster general manager Ishak Ibrahim said towards that end, as an industry player the hotel will work hard to regain public confidence in what the state can offer.
“Indeed 2018 has been an eventful and challenging year for us in the tourism sector in Sarawak and every industry player’s support has been a critical success factor for Pullman Kuching to meet its goals.
“I believe that with our renewed effort and enthusiasm, we will continue to make progress and will reap a bountiful harvest in the coming years,” he said in his welcoming speech during an appreciation dinner on Friday.
The dinner, themed “Shanghai Night”, was attended by more than 200 guests comprising corporate and government sectors, tourism agents, partners in the convention bureau and tourism industry, business partners and members of the media. The appreciation dinner was held in acknowledgement of their unwavering support since the hotel’s inception in 2010 in the city.
Guests were served with a special buffet spread prepared specially by Chef Matan and his culinary team while Pullman Kuching resident band Masterpiece band entertained them with lovely music.
Besides, some 20 old folk and caretakers of Rumah Seri Kenangan were also in attendance. They were later presented with “ang pow”.
