KUCHING: Sarawak Energy’s initiatives in its journey to become ‘Best in Class’ paid off when it was awarded the State Secretary Trophy for the Gold Category of the Chief Minister’s Awards 2017 in conjunction with Sarawak State Civil Service Day.

Aisah Eden, Sarawak Energy Execut ive Vice Pres ident of Corporate Services received the honour on behalf of Sarawak Energy from Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Datuk Openg. Sarawak Energy emerged as the overall winner for this category, in recognition of its performance and operational excellence ahead of other government departments and agencies in contention.

Sharbini Suhaili, Sarawak Energy Group Chief Executive Officer, said, “This award is validation of the effort and perseverance shown by our team.

We would like to express our appreciation to the State Government for this recognition which is an important impetus for the team to want to do better as we work to deliver for the benefit of Sarawakians.”

Adding on, Aisah said, “We were assessed by a panel of 14 assessors in October on our overall organisational leadership and performance, organisational culture excellence, finance, customer’s management, HR and ICT as well as the achievements and recognitions received over the last two years.” The assessors were led by the Director of Unit Pemodenan Tadbi ran dan Perancangan Pengurusan Malaysia, MAMPU Sarawak branch and officers from the Chief Minister’s Department.
