KUCHING: The Semenggoh Wildlife Centre (SWC) near Kota Padawan about 20km from Kuching has won the Malaysia Tourism Quality Assurance (MyTQA) Award.

This was disclosed in a statement yesterday by Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) which manages the SWC.

This award, under the Nature and Adventure (National and State Park) category, recognises SWC’s excellence in the areas of safety, environment, products, facilities, services, wildlife conservation and tourism.

“We are very proud and honoured to receive this award which we consider a well-deserved recognition of our dedicated staff at SWC, as well as a vindication of the support and confidence we have received from the Government in entrusting SFC to manage national parks,” said the statement.
