SIBU: The Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate from the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) for the Lanang parliamentary seat, Kelvin Kong has pledged to set up a large service centre to help the people if he wins in the 14th General Election (GE14).

Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg announced the state BN candidates yesterday.

Kong, who was interviewed by reporters after a community gathering  with the BN SUPP Lanang at Li Hua Hotel on Monday night, said he and his team were committed to helping the people.

“The problems faced by the people  include flood problems and road problems. To solve such problems, a team or a service centre is needed to look for solutions through government agencies and ministry units,” he said.

Kong added the problems faced by the people must be resolved.

“If they are not resolved, they will  become political issues,” he said.
