MUKAH: Sesuka FT emerged as the winners of the futsal competition held at Mukah Indoor Stadium, here, on Sunday.
The AADK team won the Mukah Cup challenge trophy, medals, accompanying trophy and certificates. First and second runners-up respectively were ASR Mukah and Saberkas Jourdania to receive trophies, medals and certificates.
Meanwhile, Giatmara Mukah took home a trophy and certificate after finishing fourth in the one-day tournament.
The event was jointly held by AADK Mukah squad and Mukah District National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK Mukah). Other participating teams that received certificates were Nafas PPFM, STNG, Pertubuhan Belia Parliman Mukah, Petanak Utd, CCH Judan, St Jude FT, PPKS Mukah and AADK Mukah.
AADK Mukah team chairman, Royston Valentine, who officiated at the closing and prize presentation ceremony urged the players to play futsal and not to get involved with drugs.
Also present were AADK Mukah head, Felynora Joseph Na, Sarawak Member of Youth Parliament Malaysia, Diana Stanislaus and Kpg Judan Caring Community House Mover, Hazemi Mirad
Felynora congratulated all the teams stressing that the participation and high sportsmanship spirit shown by the players were all that matter.
“The team spirit and unity also count and we might hold this event again next year. I would also like to thank all those involved in making this event a very successful one.” she said.
