SRI AMAN: A total of seven doors of Rumah Enkabi in Kampung San Semanju in Lubuk Antu, were razed to the ground last Sunday, render ing the seven families homeless. According to Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Department Chief Willam Baheng, the fire incident occured around 8am.

“A total of 18 fire fighters from the Betong and Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Services Department were rushed to the location after receiving the emergency call at 8.21am.

“Seven doors of the community dwellings were 100 per cent destoyed in the fire, while one other was saved,” he said. No casualty was reported and the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The 60 doors of Rumah Enkabi in Kampung San Semanju with a total of 60 households are built in scattered manner in the same location, and the burned down block were located near the SK San Semanju. This was the third fire incident recorded in Sri Aman in the period of one week.
