KUCHING: Seven foreign women, suspected of being involved in vice activities, were arrested during a police raid on a massage parlour located at Jalan Tugah here yesterday.

Acting on information received, a police team from Kuching District Police Headquarters raided the massage parlour at around 10.00am and detained the women.

The police also seized several condoms and RM250 in cash. The women, aged between 29 and 40 years old, from the People’s Republic of China, were taken to the Kuching District Police Headquarters for questioning. The case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act, 1959/63.

Meanwhile, a housewife lost her belongings after her handbag was snatched near a shop at Jalan Stutong here yesterday morning.

She lost some cash and personal documents.

The incident took place at a parking lot at around 8.00am while the victim, from Taman Satria Jaya BDC, was walking towards her car. This was when a man on motorcycle snatched her handbag from behind as he rode past her.
