SIBU: Four personnel of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) recently helped to send a woman suffering from abdominal and knee pain to the Sibu Hospital. 

According to Sibu Division Disaster Management and Assistance Committee Secretariat Captain Frankie John Jawan, they received an emergency call at 1.44pm.

APM Sibu went to the rented house of the women, located at Hardin Road after receiving emergency call. 

“According to information from her children, their mother complained of abdominal pain.

“Her children were all waiting for APM personnel in front of the rented house and later brought them to their house at 3pm.

“Through initial check, the victim was in a state of illness. She complained of pain in the abdomen and knee. The victim could not even walk,” he said.

Frankie added that the victim was brought by using the ‘Spinal Board’ from her 3rd floor home to the APM’s ambulance and then diverted to trolley strecther.

“The victim was sent to the Sibu Hospital accompanied by her children, supervised and assessed until arriving at the hospital.

“Then, APM helped to register the victim and handed her over to the hospital for further treatment,” he said.
