Sim to former SUPP members: Come back, celebrate together

KUCHING: To those who left Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) before, I hope that they can come back this time to celebrate the Chinese New Year together with us, said its president, Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

According to Sim, the Chinese New Year celebration is a meeting or get together of every family member.

“Those who have left SUPP, I want them to celebrate the Chinese New Year together with us. We will hold it at SUPP Headquarters in Kuching and I hope the meeting will bring a bigger meaning,” he said this in a media conference here, yesterday.

Sim, who is also Minister of Local Government and Housing, said he would also welcome new members to join SUPP.

“The people of Sarawak need all of us. I welcome the presence of new members to join SUPP and if they do join us, there are many opportunitiesor them,” he said.

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, Sim also hoped that unity in Sarawak would be sustained.

“This year is the Year of the Dog. I want all of us to be united as I want to see a strong Sarawak.

“Anyone who had left SUPP before and wants to be with us again, I hope they will come back with a sincere heart. Sarawak needs all of us to govern together,” he explained.
