SIBU: Six per cent Sales and Services Tax (SST) will be imposed on all parking fees within the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) area of jurisdiction starting Sept 1.
SMC chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King disclosed this during a full council meeting on Wesnesday. He also said the rates of compound would not be revealed under the council’s new policy.
“The amount of compound could be traced only with the respective compound issuance section in SMC upon making payment,” he added.
