KUCHI NG: The project of SK Long Sukang is to be implemented in two phases. Assistant Minister of Education, Science and Technological Research Dr Annuar Rapaee said phase 1, consists of a block of six classrooms and students’ hostel was implemented under 10th Malaysia Plan while phase II will be implemented under 11th Malaysia Plan.

“Phase 1 of SK Long Sukang was completed and handed over on 10th March 2014. Phase II of the project which comprises an administration block and canteen, is in the process of appointing a consultant,” Dr Annuar said. He said this in response to a question raised by Ba’Kelalan Assemblyman Baru Bian at State Legislative Assembly Sitting here yesterday.

Dr Annuar explained this to Baru Bian, who wanted to know about the status of the abandoned SK Long Sukang project. He also wanted to know either the Sarawak government is paying for the rectification and completion of the project from its own funds and then claim from the Federal Government as proposed by the Chief Minister.
