KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) implemented the Coupon Parking System (SLKB) from January 2 at 19 commercial centres.
The 19 commercial centres include Batu 1 1/2, Jalan Keretapi (Lorong Sg Maong Ulu 3)
Jalan Semarak (Bemmers), Jalan Sungai Maong Ulu (Kementerian Kesihatan, Jalan Keretapi), Jalan Sungai Maong Hilir (Sungai Maong Hawkers Centre), Sejingkat Industrial Park (Demak Laut Commercial Centre), Jalan Green (Shoplot 2608 & 2609)
Jalan Rubber (Pejabat Pelancongan Merdeka), Jalan Gold Jade (Shoplot 2646 – 2649)
Demak Laut Industrial Park, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce (CL Khoon Electrical), Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce (Around FORDA), Jalan Badruddin (Opposite Jalan Badruddin Police Headquarters), Jalan Istana (Shophouses RPR Phase II/ Klinik Astana), Jalan Kulas (Shophouses SME Bank/PTPTN/AGRO Bank/Kaya & Toast), Junction Jalan Istana/ Jalan Matang (PJ Farmasi Jalan Semarak), Jalan Semarak (Kedai Adie/ Barung Tinok), Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce (Regalis Court/ Perodua), Jalan Gold Jade (4D) and Jalan Semarak (Pejabat Pendaftaran Negara/ CNI).
With limited parking spaces in these commercial centres, the SLKB is implemented to avoid long-term parking and ensure that other members of the public could park their vehicles.
SLKB would be implemented from 8am until 5pm on weekdays. 20 sen will be charged for the first half-hour, 50 sen for the second half-hour and 80 sen for every consecutive half-hour.
