KUCHING: Approximately 1,000 attended the ‘Forum Perdana Hal Ehwal Islam’ at Sarawak Islamic Complex, Jalan P. Ramlee here on Thursday night.

The forum was held in conjunction with the State Land and Survey Department’s 100 years anniversary.

It was also the result of a collaboration with the Sarawak Islamic Council, the State Islamic Religious Department (JAIS), RTM Sarawak, and the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia Sarawak.

During the forum, among the things discussed included administration and management of land from the aspects of religion and laws.

Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud was present along with Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Openg and Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.
