KUCHING: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) held Science Technology Engineering Mathematic (STEM) Innovation and Nature Fair 2017 at Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Kuching on Wednesday.

The one-day exhibition was organised by Faculty of Resource Science and Technology.

Twenty-five booths were set up for the researchers from five faculties to share and showcase their innovation and knowledge to the students.

According to Unimas deputy vice-chancellor (Research and Innovation) Prof Dr Kopli Bujang, the objective of the exhibition was to attract the interest among students in STEM particularly in Science.

“This is in line with the state government’s efforts to produce more local bumiputera talents in STEM field as well as to support the digital economy transformation.

“Various hands-on activities were provided in this exhibition to encourage the creativity and innovation thinking among the students,” said Kopli at the closing of the exhibition recently.
