KUCHING: The Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) held its 88th board of management meeting yesterday at Pullman Hotel Kuching.

The meeting was chaired by its chairman Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

The members that met were Entrepreneur and Small Medium Enterprises Assistant Minister Datuk Mohd Naroden, Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Husain, Datuk Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Datuk Dr Wan Lizosman Wan Omar.

After the meeting, Tengah signed the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy Statement and Framework.

ERM is an initiative from the top management to revive the risk management practices within the agency with the assistance of consultancy firm Axcelasia Columbus Sdn Bhd.

Through the ERM exercise, it will provide STIDC with a strong foundation for the organisation to fulfil its stakeholders’ expectations and spur the growth of the timber industry.
