BINTULU: Five firemen from Bintulu fire station are on their second day of searching through the Blieran River, Ladang Arau-Murum Belaga for any sign of an Indonesian man who went missing after he fell from a fishing boat on Wednesday (Jan 9).
The man reportedly fell off a boat during a fishing trip with his brother and a friend.
According to the State and Rescue Department (Bomba) assistant operations director, Tiong Ling Hii, the team was using water surface searching method.
“The operation starts from the location where the victim reportedly fell,” he said.
As at press time, the victim was yet to be found.
