S’wak first halal mall, Aiman Mall opening soon

KUCHING: The first halal mall in the State, Aiman Mall, will be having its grand opening ceremony on 22 April 2017.

Located in Samarahan, with over 120,000 square feet and positioned as a suburb mall, the Aiman Mall costs RM30 million to build.

Anchor tenants such H&L, Grand Supermart (GSM) and other tenants have fully occupied over 100,000 square feet of shopping area of Aiman Mall.

Speaking at the press conference, Aiman Mantap Sdn Bhd Chairman Samat Othman said that various of activity have been lined up for the public entertainment during the big day.

“The grand opening itself will be graced by the Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg at 10am, and we are expecting crowd turnout to be around 50,000 to 60,000 during that day,” said Samat during a press conference held at Aiman Mall, Kota Samarahan, yesterday.

Samat added for the evening event later that day as they also have invited singers from Jakarta such as Bervinta Ariansyah and Lissa V, and local celebrity D’Cipta Band.

Samat also noted that the Aiman Mall concert in the evening is free admission. “The concert is free for everyone, but I would like to advise them to carpool to avoid traffic congestion,” he said.

Also present were Aiman Mall Managing Director Lee Chin Teck, Aiman Properties Management Sdn Bhd General Manager Albert Chung and Aiman Mantap Sdn Bhd Project Manager Freddy Chong.
