Taib receives courtesy calls at Demak Jaya

KUCHING: Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud yesterday received courtesy calls at Demak Jaya. 

The first courtesy call was from the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia,   Andrew Goledzinowski AM and his wife, Lyn Allan.

The next courtesy call was from the Committee Members of the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) led by their General Manager, Datu Sarudu Hoklai.

The purpose of the courtesy call was to invite Taib to grace the earthbreaking ceremony for the Tanjung Manis Administration Building on May 3 at the project site of Tanjung Manis new township.

During the courtesy call, the Head of State was also introduced to the Acting General Manager,    Hashim Bojet.
