KUCHING: A teenager went through an anxiety-filled experience after the van he was driving crashed into a shop at Batu Kawa New Township (MJC) here on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred at around 10.00pm when the 17-year-old was reversing the van when he accidentally hit a parked motorcycle and car.
In his bid to stop the van, the panic-stricken teenager stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to lunge forward and crashed into the shop.
Members of the public who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and brought the victim to Batu Kawa Police Station. He suffered minor injuries in the incident.
Police were investigating the case.
