MIRI: A teenager was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a car at Jalan Brighton here early yesterday.
In the incident that occurred around 3.30am, Rijalludin Abdullah, 19, who sustained serious head and bodily injuries died at the scene.
His friend who was injured in the incident was taken to Miri Hospital for treatment.
It was believed that the motorcycle the victims were riding went out of control before ramming an oncoming car travelling on the opposite lane.
Miri District Deputy Police chief, Superintendent Stanley Jonathan Ringgit confirmed the incident and said police were investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
