MUAR: Three people were killed in a collision involving two lorries and an express bus at KM142.4 of the North-South Highway (south-bound) near the Pagoh exit here yesterday.

Muar Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Marzuki Ismail said the dead were Shuaib K.K Mohamed Unny, 50, the bus driver, and two passengers who have yet to be identified.

“The co-driver and 25 other passengers are safe, as well

as the drivers of the trailer and tanker involved. The cause of the accident is still being determined.

“The bodies have been handed over to the police for further action,” he said in a statement here yesterday.

Marzuki said the department received a telephone call about the incident at 1.08 pm and the rescue operations ended at 2.10 pm.- Bernama
