Three stranded hikers on Mt Santubong rescued

KUCHING: Three hikers were stranded on Mount Santubong near here last Sunday.

All three victims were unhurt in the 5.40pm incident.

According to State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), ten personnel from Petra Jaya fire station in a fire engine and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle, led by Hazmi Mohamad Edoon were dispatched to the scene after a distress call was received at 5.42pm.

It was learned that the victims was stranded on the opposite side of the stream on Mount Santubong after their trail was inundated. They were safely brought down at 6.29pm.
