TM Sarawak hands over RM3,560 to local assn

KUCHING: TM Sarawak recently handed over a donation of RM3,560 garnered from its Donate Your Points to Persatuan Orang Cacat Bumiputera Sarawak.

Donate Your Points is a programme where unifi customers nationwide can convert their TM Reward points into donations. For every 100 points, customers will have the option to convert the points into RM1 which will be donated to selected charity organisations.

The cheque from was handed over by TM Sarawak General Manager Jafer Sadig Abdul Lathiff to Persatuan Orang Cacat Bumiputera Sarawak President Adzohari Jamil.

Speaking at the ceremony, Jafer said: “We would like to thank our loyal customers for their generosity and support towards this noble cause and we are happy to be able to provide a platform for our customers, together with TM, to make a difference for the community.

“We are excited that we can lend a helping hand to Persatuan Orang Cacat Bumiputera Sarawak to ease their burden. This programme is one of the many undertaken by TM and demonstrates our continued commitment in helping those in need not only in Sarawak, but nationwide.”

In 2011, TM Rewards was introduced to recognise and reward their loyal customers with great offers and privileges by rewarding them with points when bills are paid timely and for any spending on TM’s products and services which can be redeemed for bill, Hyppflicks/Video On Demand (VOD) vouchers or lifestyle items.

TM Rewards has recorded two million registered members and a total of RM147 million worth of points have been issued to members.

Since its introduction, TM Rewards’ Donate Your Points have converted a total of 33,765,900 points worth RM337,659.

To date, TM has distributed RM280,705 to three charity organisations namely United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef Malaysia), Medical Relief Society Malaysia (MERCY Malaysia) and National Cancer Council Malaysia (MAKNA) and another RM53,394 have been disbursed to 15 other non-governmental organisations (NGOs) nationwide.
