KUCHING: A tow truck driver aged 29 has claimed that he was assaulted by a group of people.
On Thursday afternoon at 3.30pm, the victim from Jalan Stephen Yong was with a friend at a shop in Jalan Canna when a group of 20 people assaulted him.
One of the assailants punched him in the face and he tried to run but was outnumbered.
As a result, he sustained injuries at the back of his head. He revealed that some of them have been involved in drug peddling. His handphone and cash of RM150 were taken by the group.
Meanwhile, in another case on Thursday morning at about 8.30am, a nurse disclosed that she was on her way to work at a clinic in Jalan Airport.
She found that the clinic’s toilet window was broken and items such as laptop, dental pliers, cash, cctv and more items were stolen.
The amount of loss has remained unknown. Both cases are being investigated by the police.
