KAPIT: Kapit Agriculture Department (KAD) Assistant Director Dominic Chunggat who has been transferred to Sarawak Agriculture Department headquarters in Kuching was given a farewell dinner on Thursday night.
His transfer officially took effect from 17 February 2017.
Dominic worked at Kapit Agriculture Department for 21 years as head of the department.
In Kuching headquarters, he is in charge of commodity (cash crops like pepper, rubber, oil palm and coconut)
Taking over the helm from Dominic is Badin Unor from Sibu Agriculture Department.
“Initially, I was a little bit reluctant to serve in Kapit but after receiving advice from friends I finally took up the challenge and soon fell in love with the place,” said Dominic.
At the function, organising chairman Jenattan Sambang presented a souvenir to Dominic.
