KUCHING: Police arrested three individuals on suspicion of being involved in selling illegal lottery (4D) tickets in two separate raids here on Wednesday.
The first raid was carried out at a food court along Jalan Tun Razak where a 26-year-old man, from Sg Maong, and a woman, aged 28, from Kampung Sg Bedil, Petra Jaya, were detained at 3.00pm.
The police also seized RM74, stationeries, two mobile phones, calculators and several pieces of paper believed to be betting slips from the suspects.
Another individual, aged 28, from Batu Kawa, was picked up by the police at another premises located near the food court for allegedly selling illegal 4D and seized RM45, stationery, two mobile phones, several pieces of paper believed to be betting slips.
All three suspects were taken to a police station for questioning.
