Tun Taib attends Brunei Sultan’s 72nd birthday celebration

KUCHING: The Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud attended the 72nd birthday celebration of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei  on Sunday night.

Tun Taib was accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Ragad Kurdi and  Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan  when he paid a courtesy call on the Brunei Sultan and his wife at Istana Nurul Iman, Brunei Darussalam.

After the courtesy call, the Head of State   and Awang Tengah visited the royal tombs in    Brunei.

Tun Taib and Toh Puan Raghad also attended a  banquet held in conjunction with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s birthday celebration before leaving for Kuching.
