KUCHING: Two men were arrested in a house at Matang near here for peddling drugs at midnight yesterday.
Following a tip-off, police from Padawan raided a house in
Matang and found the two men with a few packets of drugs.
The two aged 27 and 35 were found with six grams of syabu and three Erimin 5 pills weighing 0.85 grams.
The two men who are jobless were also tested positive for drugs.
They claimed that the drugs were for their own consumption. One of the suspects had a previous drug peddling case.
Both were detained at Siburan police station for further investigation of peddling drugs under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1952 which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment if convicted.
