MIRI: Two males, including a 17-year-old boy suspected of involvement in housebreaking and steal cases, were arrested by police at a house in Kampung Pujut Tanjung Batu here yesterday.
Acted on information, a crime prevention team from Miri Central Police Station conducted a check on the involved house and arrested two suspects at about 1.00am.
A source said, police also seized several items believed to be stolen, including a TV set and digital cameras.
“When questioned by police, the two suspects failed to give a reasonable explanation of the items seized.
“Consequently, both suspects and seized items were then brought to the police station for further investigation,” the source said.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
