KUCHING: Hope Place was calling for volunteers help at its store, to do some cleaning job through the social media Facebook and WhatsApp.

Two ladies responded. When the two reported at Hope Place, its founder Kelvin Wan was surprised to find out these two, namely Mdm Yeo and Mdm Kueh were his former teachers at then SMB Kuching High. Now they are both retired and are volunteering to help at Hope Place.

It is a body that carries aid deliveries once every two months to its long list of families who are the regular recipients. “Currently we support more than 190 families’” said Kevin through a statement yesterday.
