SPAOH: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas attended a joint Gawai and Hari Raya celebration together with 2,500 residents at Kampung Spaoh here yesterday.
During his speech, he spoke on the culture of unity practised by the people there and hoped that it could be preserved for a very long time.
“We live in harmony and I hope that it will always be like this whereby we respect and accept each other’s differences,” he said.
Also present were former deputy chief minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Alfred Jabu Numpang and Saribas State Assemblyman Mohamad Razi Sitam.
