UiTM Vice-Chancellor Award for 21 outstanding graduates

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The first session of the 86th Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak convocation ceremony saw 21 students receiving the prestigious Vice-Chancellor Award yesterday.

Among them was a Degree of Administrative Science graduate, Adilah Binti Abdul Aziz, 23, who was the sole recipient of the Vice Chancellor Award from the university’s Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies.

“ I wish to thank God for my achievement. My key to success is always doing group study with my classmates,” said Adilah when met after the convocation ceremony yesterday.

She is currently a management trainee with Malaysia Airport.

“I will pursue my Masters when I have the necessary funds. My advice to my juniors is study smart and be consistent in your revisions,” she said.

Second of five siblings, Adilah gained 3.80 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) to enable her to receive the award.

Annasey Bangie Anah Peau Sumut, 23,  Iban from Miri Sarawak also obtained a Degree of Administrative Science from Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies.

Eldest of three siblings, she attributed her success to her  lorry driver father and housewife mother.

“They constantly reminded me of the importance of education and consistently motivated me to attain academic excellence, she said, adding that she hopes to further her studies overseas.

Annasey is attached to a private company

in Miri as a commercial assistant.

Meanwhile, Mohd Izaidin Bin Bakri, 23, an Administrative Science degree graduate also recived a Vice-Chancellor Award. He has a 3.81 CGPA.

He attributed his success to God and his parents.

Youngest among five siblings, he is now with Khazanah National in Kuching under 1Malaysia Trainning Scheme (SL1M).
