KUCHING: ‘Voices In Harmony’ invites you to a Charity Choral Concert featuring St. Joseph Private School Chamber Choir, CMP Vocal Tec, Soloist Jeffrey Tang, Carla Mongado & Jon Riam Quizo for a night of inspiring music ranging from Anton Bruckner’s composition in the Renaissance era right up to the ethnic music of Sarawak and Malaysia, a press release stated yesterday.

The joy of singing together has compelled these music lovers to utilise their talents for a good cause – an effort to end polio by Rotary International.

Polio is a crippling and potentially deadly infectious disease and the virus is contagious by invading a person’s brain and spinal cord, the statement added. Although there are fewer polio cases in recent years, Rotary International aims to immunise 400 million children against polio every year, improve surveillance systems to diagnose new cases and detect the polio virus in the environment and hire more than 150,000 health workers to find and vaccinate every child.
