KUCHING: Puncak Borneo Member of Parliament Willie Mongin has retained his seat as chairman of PKR Mambong (also known as Puncak Borneo) division when he was returned unopposed in the party elections yesterday.
The deputy chairman’s post went to Iana Akam while the vice chairman is Joseph Akam.
Willie said voting was conducted smoothly since 9am till 4pm yesterday in the voting centre at the Puncak Borneo parliamentary service centre.
“There were no incidents despite voters coming from different camps,” he said.
