MIRI: A woman fainted while she and her family were visiting a carnival at a primary school here at 7.30am yesterday.

According to Miri District Civil Defence Force (APM) officer, Captain Mohd Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid said three personnel were dispatched to the school after they received a distress call from a member of the public.

“Upon arrival, the APM personnel found that the victim had lost her consciousness and immediately sent her to Miri Hospital for medical attention,” he said.

Mohd Hazle said according to the victim’s husband, the woman was suffering from high blood pressure and had not been feeling well lately.

It is understood that the victim is in stable condition.
