MUKAH: Nuli Anak Sulang, a 27-year-old woman from Rumah Juti, Sg Bawan, Balingian, was killed after the car she was driving plunged into a ravine at Km 56, Mukah-Selangau Road here yesterday afternoon.
Nuli was driving from Selangau to Mukah when the accident happened.
Firemen led by PBK II Jolhan Bin Sahadan, who rushed to the scene of the accident after receiving a call at 2.05pm, found her body three metres away from her car, a Perodua Bezza. They used a stretcher to bring her body up to the level of the road. However, Nuli was confirmed dead by medics who arrived in an ambulance. Her remains were later handed over to the police for further action.
Meanwhile, Alexsion Anak Madeng, 9, who was in the car driven by Nuli, was injured in the accident. Members of the public who were at the scene managed to rescue him from the car and bring him for treatment at the Selangau Health Clinic.
