KUCHING: A 51-year-old motorcyclist, Ramlee anak Attam died in Lundu Hospital from serious head injuries after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a motorcycle ridden by his elder brother at Kampung Biawak, Jalan Lundu, yesterday.

The impact of the collision caused Ramlee to fall from his motorcycle before his head hit a rock by the road side. Ramlee’s elder brother sustained only minor injuries.

Initial investigation revealed that the elder brother was trying to speed up his motorcycle before the collision.

The two siblings were taken to Lundu Hospital by members of the public.

Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the two siblings were not drunk.

The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
