NGO donates RM101k for facilities’ upgrading

DALAT: Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah on Saturday (Jan 22) received three cheques totalling RM101,788 from a non-governmental organisation (NGO) to help finance the upgrading work of facilities here.

Such contribution was a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by the NGO known as 38 Yayasan Cinta Amal (Love Charity Foundation).

Its handover was held at the respective locations here and Oya near here.

Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman said a cheque amounting to RM12,000 was to help finance the installation of aluminium louvers for hawkers’ stall in Dalat market.

“Another cheque worth RM56,508 is for upgrading work (roofing and tiling) of Prawn Mee Stall in Oya,” she said at a simple handover ceremony at Oya Square and Oya Walk, in Oya near here.

She added for cheque amounting to RM33,280, it would be for upgrading work of facilities at Pasar Warisan Oya, and it involved providing 24 iron benches and two decoration gates.

 A total of 1,000 packed of dried food worth RM100 each were also distributed to the poor people who are to celebrate the coming Chinese New Year in Dalat constituency.
