MIRI: Miri City Council (MCC) has decided to temporarily close the Saberkas Night Market.
This is in view of night markets being included in the list of businesses not allowed to operate under the standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the movement control order (MCO) imposed by the state government.
The council also took into consideration the increasing number of positive Covid-19 cases in Miri city these past few weeks.
The night market was closed with immediate effect yesterday (May 31) and will remain closed until further notice, said the council in a statement.
